Why Choose Spirit Valley Farm

Spirit Valley Farm is a serene haven nestled amidst rolling hills in southeast Minnesota.

Livestock and soil care are our primary focus. We employ practices such as rotational cropping of non-GMO corn, alfalfa and soybeans. 

We also use minimal tillage to enhance soil fertility and structure.

These techniques ensure that the soil remains rich in nutrients and supports the diverse plant life that thrives here. The areas that are not suitable for cropping are grazed from spring through fall.

This sustainable grazing promotes healthy soil and grass regeneration, maintaining the ecological balance of the farm.  Much of the corn and all the alfalfa is harvested as feed for our cattle. And NUTRIENT DENSE SOILS means NUTRIENT DENSE CROPS…and NUTRIENT DENSE BEEF!

We also participate in Beef Quality Assurance Certification (BQA). Some of the protocols we follow include proper handling, vaccination, treatment protocols and nutrition.

We work closely with our veterinarians to establish these protocols.  Following these practices can lead to higher-quality beef with better marbling, tenderness and flavor.  Combining our own high-quality feeds with BQA standards helps us to produce top-quality beef.
